Simulated ultrasound data from carotid artery
The RF data was obtained from simulating the flow in the carotid artery by using the
Field II program and the
data from page 80 in the book. The Womersley-Evans method for pulsed flow
described on page 75-79 was used for finding the pulsatile velocity.
The RF data was then demodulated and sampled to obtain the complex audio
data.
The data for the simulation are given below:
Transducer: | 3 MHz, linear array probe with 64 elements |
Pulse repetition frequency: | 3.5 kHz |
Wall filter: | none |
Angle between flow and beam: | 55° |
Ultrasound pulse: | 4 cycles at 3 MHz |
Sampling frequency: | 20 MHz |
Resolution: | 16 bits samples |
Position of vessel center: | 20 mm from transducer surface |
Vessel radius: | 2 mm |
Position of range gate: | 21 mm from transducer surface |
The audio data can be obtained from the web-server from the directory:
https://courses.healthtech.dtu.dk/22485/files/ult_data/simulation/audio_data/
The file is called
car_audio.mat and the Matlab variable audio
contains the complex audio data.
